"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey DJs,

Managed to set up a date for this weekend with a chick I hooked up with at a club couple weeks ago. Seeing how she is responsive even after the club high is dead, I'm sensing her IL is definitely there.

Problem is, she doesn't know I'm still in school (21, finishing up last semester of college). We never talked about age, but when she asked what I do, I said I work in XXX industry (which I will be after grad haha, not lying about having a job lined up). She reciprocated and I know what she does. She's at most 2 years older than me for sure.

Was going to see her soon after I met her, but plans didn't work out because she was traveling for business & I had my glorious spring break :) When she asked if I had been busy with work I just followed along with it. I'm obviously going to break the news to her that I'm actually still in school, bc I think it's retarded to keep going on with a fake identity lol. Better to be upfront about it.

Any reactions I should expect / how I should carry myself when I break the news? Not sure what we'll be doing yet, but I just told her that we'll "hang out over a couple of drinks."

Thanks DJs!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Should of been upfront.
Do whatever you feel is right.
Just carry yourself smoothly.

I wouldn't even bother correcting her. That could eff everything up because she may think you're a liar. I mean it's not like you're going to marry this chick so does it really make a difference? Last month I told a girl I met at a frat party a fake name and when I admitted it was fake later, she lost interest. Just a heads up.
