"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey guys. I was at school today, and all summer I was like I'm gonna hook up with Takayla. So today, you know I feel confident, hold my head above horizon when I walk, I just felt good about myself. Anyway, I saw Takayla in the beginning of the school day in the gym with some of her girlfriends but she didn't see me. I didn't talk to her. At the end of the day I see her talking with some guy and they walk off with each other to the parking lot. They weren't holding hands or hands wrapped around each others back. The guy is on varsity football, he dresses nice and he's not ugly(no homo). I dress nice and look nice but he has that football advantage over me for right now. And this isn't some ugly girl, I mean top notch in the school. I'm kinda angry that I didn't talk to her earlier in the day. What do you guys suggest in this approach?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Talk to her.

Damn I was going to get this one chicks # today, but I see her, and I think, "I will just get it later, because I see her after school." Well I didn't see her, so that opportunity was wasted. Better sooner, then later.

Don't know what I was thinking, I guess I will get it tommorow.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

" A Don Juan has no competition but himself."

I think were playing the comparison game again.Personally, I've been there and it's a complete waste of mental energy man. When I first started out in the game, I was always comparing myself to guys. Like you know - " What does he have that I don't have?" or " I wish I had this and that." I would always beat myself up over the things I didn't have instead of being grateful for the ones I do have.

Then I came to realize that this is just a game I can't win. There will ALWAYS be someone "better" than me and there will always be someone "worse". I then stop comparing myself to other people and approach the game as not as some sort of competition but as some sort of Artist gallery in which all artist are all unique, original and different.

You are lacking confidence. Confidence is A HUGE key to success with any woman. Just because you saw her with this football player, doesn't mean you should start getting all down on yourself. However, when you decide to speak with her, be sure that you sound and look confident, stand up straight, and be cool about it. A football uniform doesn't mean much, it's all in the attitude, man.
