"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

so decided that office poon was out of bounds despite making out with her last thursday.

i tell her this evening that it was a mistake and that it is to go no further. she doesn't take it too well. she keeps on at me at how i have issues, how i made a mistake, how i'm scared.

at the end of the evening she goes to leave while i finish up but then changes her mind and waits for me. she's acting really clingy and needy now trying to get me to change my mind and the more she does this the less attractive i find her. i just want her to leave me alone now. but she won't.

yes i know. i made my bed. just damn glad we didn't sleep together! :moon:

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

count your blessings. i was in a similar situation but the table got turned on me after i fell for her. now i hate my job.

you're absolutely doing the right thing. keep your business and your interests completely separated. if this affects her performance at work then LGBF her and keep it at that.

what's LGBF mean? do you mean LJBF (Let's just be friends)? That's what I'm doing. It's not going down too well. Today i'm just going to say nothing unless it's work related.

Truth is i'm just not attracted to her. looks wise she is fine. it's just that whiny persona i can't stand and it's coming out in full force now as if that is going to make me more attracted to her. she's virtually begging me. I could tell her that but I don't want to hurt her feelings. I'm getting valuable insight on what it's like to be a girl here fellas.

Gurls can't accept rejection, it's a shock to their ego, and they want it back and throw whatever things at you like you got issues or scared, lol, those are gurl things and who knows it better than them.

oh i don't think this is limited to girls. i don't know anyone who likes rejection. and the more we are rejected the more we try to persuade the other person to accept us who of course doesn't because the more we try the more we give our power away and the less attractive we become. it's a downward spiral.

for research purposes this situation is quite valuable. note to self. never try to persuade a girl to go out with you.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
