the last two numbers i received through cold approaching both turned out to be flakes. in both situations, i chatted no more than a few minutes because my time is limited during my lunch breaks. i called both up, got their voicemails, and left a message the first time. never leave a message the 2nd call (which is the next day after the first call). i then skip a day and called a third time. left a message w/ both and said, "what's happening this is john, just got out of school, work, etc.. this is the last time i'm going to call... but if you want to chat, ring me @ 555.5555" (i'm aware of voice tone and don't say it in a negative way; in fact, i've had girls call me back w/ this routine)
would the following two help prevent flaking?
*chatting for prolonged period, maybe five minutes or so, aiming for rapport
*how about email? david d. stresses this in his ebook and advanced although i've always shoot for #'s. maybe i should give email a try instead?
