"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

the last two numbers i received through cold approaching both turned out to be flakes. in both situations, i chatted no more than a few minutes because my time is limited during my lunch breaks. i called both up, got their voicemails, and left a message the first time. never leave a message the 2nd call (which is the next day after the first call). i then skip a day and called a third time. left a message w/ both and said, "what's happening this is john, just got out of school, work, etc.. this is the last time i'm going to call... but if you want to chat, ring me @ 555.5555" (i'm aware of voice tone and don't say it in a negative way; in fact, i've had girls call me back w/ this routine)

would the following two help prevent flaking?
*chatting for prolonged period, maybe five minutes or so, aiming for rapport
*how about email? david d. stresses this in his ebook and advanced although i've always shoot for #'s. maybe i should give email a try instead?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Rapport, rapport, rapport. I don't know where you're meeting these girls but I assume by "Cold Approaches" you mean on the street, at the mall, or the subway or something. If we're on the same page you have to remember that it is a scary fvcking world out there for women; hundreds of potential rapists and murderers are everywhere.. And lets be honest, it's not 'normal' for a guy to just go out of his way to talk to a girl that he passed by on the street. You know you're not Ted Bundy or Ronnie The Rapist but she doesn't. You need to spend plenty of time establishing rapport and making connections with her.

I completely agree. My female friends have told me they would never go out with a guy who cold approached them, mainly for this reason.

Plus, many women want to get to know something about a guy and whether he's worth dating before taking a chance. A 10 minute conversation is not enough for girls to make that decision. They probably gave you their number because A) they didn't want the awkwardness of brushing you off face to face or B) They were flattered and in the moment it seemed ok. However, they usually rethink it all in between then and your call.

Personally, I believe majority of the girls who will respond well to a cold approach are the same type of girls who are up for one night stands in clubs. And if that's your thing, getting them in the club, when they're drinking and on the pull is a lot easier!
