I was thinking about posting this in the "Anything Else" section, but it relates to women so I'll post it here.

Do these rare type of women even exists anymore? I've dated light skinned women because they aren't ghetto and stuff... (being ghetto is a turn off for me)

Or am I generalizing too much? Maybe there are black women that are classy but it is hidden behind their ghetto cover ups. I saw this video that at first made me go "oh boy, another example for the racists on youtube to make fun of" but then further into the video, she wasn't really "ghetto" she was more like really pissed off. But you could see that she was not stupid or ignorant.

Should I still approach seemingly ghetto women and hope they are not truly as ignorant behind it all?

Ghetto women are less ignorant than non-ghetto women imho.

I watched the video, did not pay much attention to what her deal was albeit....

What I saw is a woman who had a nice body and BIG, LOUD MOUTH!!!
Ghetto women are just as money hungry or even more so than a well reserved or better off woman.

I am white and I would NOT give this type my time, attention or effort!! I worked with one like this and SHE was very funny. Always had me laughing, but I would NOT date her type. She would always talk of being in club starting stuff, her and her man...getting into fights...her and her man with patrons and club staff.

Now...with that said... I WOULD give a sista...whom has respect for herself and uses a certain degree of decorum a HUGE shot!!! WHY? Because that is what I look for in a woman. A woman of beauty and class, regardless of her race!!!

These chicks are hood-rats though and as a brother about his business you shouldn't want a hood-rat. Classy girls still do exist however. Not as many as the ignorant girls but their still out there. UH HUH!!! I am from COLLEGE PARK/ Atlanta... was there almost 35 years until about 14 years ago... Still the same as now as then!!

I've only known a couple black girls who had any class and both were from the suburbs pursuing graduate degrees. You ain't going to find these sort of chicks in the ghetto.

That's why I stay away from black women in general, too much of the "woe is me, for I am black" sh*t going on.

I'd actually be embarrassed to date a woman like that regardless of her racial background, what an absolute embarrassment to her children.

Thanks for all the responses. I think we need more clarification on what "ghetto" is. When I say that, I mean a woman who is loud-mouthed all the time, does not have values, and sleeps around way too easily. Personally, I like a girl who is versatile; she is classy, but knows how to tap into her primal state lol. I am Black myself, but I am also considered an "oreo", but I really don't see much negativity to this label because I still have decent ability to attract girls from either race.

I'm sure a lot of guys might still lay a ghetto chick, but I was talking have a relationship with one (using my definition of one above). Hell, some girls might be insecure of just being themselves and go along with how the media portrays them.

the probelm with this is that when you put it in these two options both are extremes. every one knows a few hood rat black women and at least i know a few black snobs who are closet uncle toms who hate everything there is about their skin color. i knew a girl like this in high school, and she was HOT but her personality, while not a black panther or anything I'm not ashamed of my heritage.

the truth is, most black women lay somewhere in the middle. my mother for istnace, college educated, has a masters degree, goes to church every sunday but is not what you woudl call a "snob". she curses, she drinks, she likes to play cards, likes to go to the horse track. in other words she's about what you would expect from a normal well educated white woman.

the last black girl i dated, who was ridiculously hot btw, even my (white) white thinks she is smoking. she was by no means a snob, she was not smart enough to be snobbish but she wasn't anywhere near a hood rat. worked in dillards, dressed up to go to work everyday, lived in an apartment in the better part of town, listened to jazz, liked to go out all the time, liked to drink and have friends over, in other words, pretty normal.

black people are not this foreign object. what most make a race issue is really a socio economic one. she my ex grew up in a working middle class. not rich but not poor. thus she was a pretty middle class girl and acted like a normal middle class person acts.

There is a very classy black girl in my lectures, I don't know how to not sound racist cos I'm not. But I will say, she isn't steryotypically black. rap gangsta like.

Very kind poilte person and unlike the vast majority of girls, has a real sense of humour. And she is physically attractive too.

I only recently too late realised she's been a bit into me all year. Too late now the year is practically over. Maybe a good thing too learn from though.

I agree with you here. I guess the way I made this post made it seem like white people are better, but that's definitely not true.

The college I go to seems to have only the ghetto type of black women. I started thinking about this because I am dating my first black woman (I went to a mostly white high school) and she is very smart and not ghetto at all. It kinda took me by surprise. lol
