"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Bloody right, it's mean to be asking someone to drop what they're doing to go be your personal chauffeur. The nerve of some people ...

I mean, it's one thing if they have a flat tire, or something (i.e., an emergency), but just asking you unexpectedly out of the blue to take them to the mall, or something ...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

Hahaha, but you'd do it if you REALLY liked them. See. That is the key difference. ;) :D

Jump start their car or help them in an emergency, hell yes. Interrupt what I'm doing to drive them to the mall, no... no matter how much I really, really liked them.

I mean, would I ask such a thing of them? NFW.

It's very simple: if I feel like I'm being "jerked around," it's a no-go, and my interest level in the woman drops. She's failing my test. It is a 2-way street, you know. :D
