"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I moved from NY to LA about 5 years ago. I love the weather, love my job, women out here are CRAZY but I enjoy my random bangs and nights out.

I have a childhood friend that distanced himself from our main group of friends back east and dropped off the planet for 3 years. Recently he contacted me saying he is moving to LA! (it seemed like he straightened out so I gave him another shot)

He has been out here 4 months and living with me until he gets his own place. He pumped me up about how he wants to live the single life, bang as many girls as he can, and party it up! Hell we are both 27 and single what else should we be doing lol.

Long story short he has become a nightmare with women. He already had 2 girlfriends off of POF........which one was a fat 5....and the other was a CRAZY asian 4....

Nothing I say gets through to him. We go out to bars, he wants to leave. I want to game girls, he isn't in the mood. I do GREAT by myself and my other boys so I don't need him around.

He has been a long time childhood friend but I am at the breaking point of kicking him out and just losing his number.

What do you guys think? He clearly tells me he wants to settle and have kids soon which is fine, but why the fuk would you tell me you want to do the single life and party it up and then every time we go out, rather then game hot women in the bar with me, he sits in the corner on his phone texting TRASH POF girl's lol...its nuts...I end up gaming women by myself and I do just fine with out him.

The whole point of my post is it's hard to "next" a friend you have known since 7 years old...but he just isn't the fun single guy I knew back east...

Opinions? Thanks!

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

But seriously try to make him understand that he can be a catch, it will prolly take a while to let it sink through.

That is tough, spiegel. He lives at your place, so you are in a sticky situation. Telling a friend that he has to move out is not a fun thing to do. Some in this situation wait it out, and eventually the friend moves out. But it can take a long time.

Perhaps you can look for available apartments online, and point them out to him, hope he gets the point. That would be a discreet way to begin.

Oh, sorry: I should just say "Tell him that he's the prize! Soon he'll be scoring HBs in no time!" etc etc, like the people who have no lives and are just roleplaying. The "advice" you see here is ridiculous sometimes.

(Not to nitpick, but "has gone" downhill.)

How are the chicks crazy in Los Angeles? I am curious. They shouldn't be genetically different from the people in New York, but I suppose the environment could effect them somehow. Los Angeles does seem to have some unusual conditions; it is not a place where I would like to live in the U.S., simply based on what people say and what you read.

This, is LA really that bad? I would much rather live there than Tn right now.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
