"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey,

I'm not from America, but next year I go to America.
I also go to school there and I come in a junior or senior class.
I really want to be a cheerleader, but if I am a senior can I still be a cheerleader or am I too old? And when are the cheerleader tryouts?

Thanks!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I know a guy who cheerleads for basketball at my college. In really good shape with a really hot girlfriend. But I wouldn't recommend it in high school. I think this is someone pretending to be a girl to troll.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I am not from America but I do not think it matters whether you are a senior or not. As for the try outs, that is something you will have to check with your school.

Of course it matters moron...a girl becoming a cheerleader is natural and usually gets them a whole buncha d*** throughout high school.

But if this is a guy, it's essentially social suicide.
thanks for insulting me, I was answering the OP bout junior or senior year, didn't read your response...

sensitive...
and naa, it's not social suicide if you do it right, a couple guys I know are the **** at a local school, they were yell leaders during basketball season, our school thought it was cool... not that big of a deal
Most of my schools cheerleaders (all girls) are ugly,well... fat, so its not much of a bonus here... really depends on the school
our cheerleader "coach" is a feminist ****, so she wont let guys in anyway... maybe why we thought it was cool

Edit: am I the only one who's curious why this got asked here anyway?

This forum is mostly for guys who want to learn to pick up girls.

Cheerleaders are generally attractive and in good shape.

There are schools without cheerleaders I'm sure, but it is very rare. Any school with sports teams should have cheerleaders.

Your English is good but needs work.
