do you americans know what cheeky is?

I was talking to a gal from america and i used the word cheeky and she said she had never heard that word before!

I had to explain what it meant to her, and it opened up all sorts of confusion with words that us the english use and the americans either havent heard of it or use it for another meaning!

I also ended the discussion that pointing out that you the americans are using our language because were amazing and if you dont use it correctly then you shouldnt be using it at all!

Jizz, there are a lot of words people aren't going to know... just pretend they know, and they will ask if it means something to them.

Cheeky is a good word tough.

lol... I was travelling in Thailand about a year ago... and there's many Brits.

Anyways... this thread topic/word... was pretty much my opener.

"Hey whats your definition of cheeky!?"

One time I asked some chick this question while unconciously grabbing her a$$...

She answered with... "some guy that you just met, that asks you what the word cheeky means... all the while he's grabbing your a$$!" lmao

That was the best definition I got.

Cheeky is like sassy, or sarcastic, running your mouth about stuff you shouldn't. Thats the best I can put it.
