just wondering, I just cold approached a girl, and just to save time wanted to make sure that the number wasn't fake. So I blocked the caller ID when I called about 40 minutes after getting it. Turns out the number was legit, and I got her voicemail. I didn't leave a message.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this, or did i just screw it up? I'm planning on calling her on Wed.

If you are a DJ and smooth with the ladies, the less likely they will give you a fake number.

If you notice that this happens often then rather then call to check if the number is real, its best to work on your game and fix what is wrong.

When you get her to read her number out, read it back to her BUT change a number, so when you read it back and say a false number, she should correct you...if she doesnt, shes not worth your time..!

I agree. You guys sound like you need to work on your game. And what if the number was fake? So fvcking what?! You act as if your lives depend upon women giving you real #'s.

well the number was real.....so I don't think I did anything wrong, in fact I will post the conversation

me: hey, i know this may sound weird, but you look really familiar...do I know you from somewhere?
her: hey...no I don't think so but you look familiar to me too.
me: where do you go to school?
her: BLANK University, what about you
me: Blank university, would you mind giving me your number?
her: sure, you can have it. hold on a second.

Then I waited in line after I bought stuff from the store, it's not like I had time to conduct a 10 minute conversation. I was in line buying energy drinks at a Target. So I thought I did pretty well.

As for repeating the number back, I typically do that, but like I said she was busy working.

Considering the amount of time I had to get the damn number, i thought I did a pretty good job.

In the age of cell phones, how hard (or easy rather) is it to get the girls number, call her cell phone, (which is no doubt present) and the both of you save each other's names? That way there's no doubt as to if you have her correct number, and also know she has the ablity to call you and you'll recognize the number.

There is room between AFC and D.J. Just because someone isn't a D.J. for whatever reason you decided, does not mean he is AFC. The guy did a fine job, go get her, pal.
