For you guys who know the area, what's a cheap place to stay for a few nights? I don't care if they have a casino.

Don't know what you consider "cheap", but the Stratosphere is relatively inexpensive, and now you can hit the monorail a couple of blocks away, and you are on the strip within minutes. Stayed there twice, not bad.

There's a cheap one right by MGM (and MGM has a rail station). Can't remember the name of it but it's right off the strip on the cross street that intersects the strip next to MGM. Haven't stayed there, but I saw it once when I was searching for a place to stay.

Stratosphere's up and coming. I co promote for their new night club pollyester. 4 rooms 4 decades of music, over 10,000 square feet. You dont' have to ride the monorail to get anywhere either. Take the double decker bus called "The Duece" It's just as fast and will save you like 10 bucks for an all day fare.

The cheapest places to stay in vegas are either off strip (and I mean at least 1 mile or more) like embassy suites, atrium suites, budget suites...basically anything with suites that doesn't have an address that doesn't have an address with Las Vegas Blvd will be far less expencive then strip resorts. There's a super 8 that's really cheap and is connected to my favorite place to eat good food and have brewery beer for super cheap (Ellis Island is the name) It gets my number one seed because it's within walking distance from Planet Hollywood, Paris and Ballys. For those who don't know or live here, that's like the epicenter of south las vegas blvd where the good stuff happens.

Other then that...well usually the college kids stay in old las vegas. EVERYTHING is cheap there. And it's more walker oriented. There are LOTS of horny girls there as well for those looking for that sort of thing. Most of them aren't hookers either.

Every woman is a hooker who visits Vegas. The whole economy is based on tourism. All of the tourism is based on getting rich. If you don't want hookers go to Yellowstone. People go there to see the bears.

The onlything you got right was the tourism part. But 18 million women visit vegas every year...not ALL of them ar hookers. And Gambling and gaming is no longer the number one revenue provider for the economy so "getting rich" by default is not the number one reason for people coming here.

vegas is the one city I haven't been to since I've been grown.. and I live 2 or so hours a way from it now. i was there when i was like 10, and I remember seeing the "pretty women on the street" and asking my mom what they were doing.. she said "oh they are getting ready to go on dates"... yeah mom.. dates.

the next big fight I might make my way down there. Better yet, the next time Taylor has a fight down there
