I know a woman locally who is hot and sexy at nearly 60. She got married young & had her kids young. She divorced somewhere in her 40s and has made up for lost time becoming the town bicycle. Much younger guys, up through older guys. Two men who are friends of mine have had sex with her. Unsurprisingly she is super insecure now because nobody will get into a relationship with her. Her daughter, who is 30 something, is also a big s lut. Can't keep a guy either.

When I used to run into her out & about I was always cool. She's a cool enough person. But no way....NO WAY I'd associate or be close with a woman like that.

Morbid assbite that I am, this is pretty much my read on this incident now. Like a certain politician who sports an exceptionally orange complexion, Theron recognizes that most folks are incapable of simply glancing such a headline, uttering words to the effect of:

"Good for you, C... Life can be tough, and an ounce of outside affection does lighten things up considerably. Hope he ate you out(both Fore and Aft)also, without requiring too much coaxing from you to do so"

Then getting on with life. As a nearly 50 year old actress who ain't particularly versatile(She's been good in a few roles, sure... Charlize Theron is attractive for her age. It is true that she isn't as attractive at 49 as she was at 29, but she's still attractive enough to get attention.

I can imagine that a woman in her mid to late 40s would find short term sex with a man 20+ years younger to be very exciting. Most women in that situation would realize that they aren't going to get a commitment from that man but they are going to enjoy feeling desirable in the moment.

I imagine that the 26 year old male who had sex with Charlize Theron recently was at least above average in looks.

I don't think Theron would face longer term dating consequences from it. Theron could look at the example of Paulina Porizkova making a big stink publicly about her dating life struggles, then finding a rich, aging Hollywood screenwriter beta male as a boyfriend.

I am not sure why that 55-60 year old woman that you know locally isn't finding commitment. I would think that she'd find a thirsty older beta to bail her out. This is happening in a major metropolitan area with a high concentration of 55+ individuals living in the area. It seems like there'd be some thirsty Boomers/early Generation X'ers who came of age in a different mating environment era who would look past her history.

She has no children under 18 at this point, which is more appealing to men than a woman with children under 18. I think some guys would find that appealing, but even getting into a relationship with a woman with adult children can be a pain in the butt. Some adult children need a lot of attention, including recent college graduates who aren't finding jobs in the 2025 economy and need to live at home with a parent. For older adults who date, the presence of adult children often can make holiday and family gatherings annoying. Often times, there are older adults dating with 2 sets of adult children.

Your acquaintance's 30 something daughter sounds like many women I've interacted with in my city's mating environment. She likely has a job that pays her enough to be self-supporting. She's probably spent the last 10+ years riding the penis carousel wherever she lives. I can imagine that mother and daughter commiserate about the mating environment, either via calls/texts (if they live further apart) or in-person (if they live in the same city).

Since at least the 2000s, the 30s/40s older woman having sex with a younger man has become a common niche in porn. I think this has influenced younger men. Right now, in the 2020s, there's a cumulative effect of 20+ years of this porn niche being popular.

The youngest adult males (18-24) often have a difficult time finding younger women. The pool of younger women is smaller since the males aren't older than most women. For 18-24 year old males, the best bet is to date someone in the same age pool. Those women are in the primes. A younger male could hope that the similarly aged female is at least a few months younger than he is. It's even common for men 18-24 starting interactions to date a woman 6 months - 3 years older, though most of these interactions will fizzle out within 1-2 years.

By the time that a man is 25-27, there's a good pool of women out there that are younger than he is. There's no reason to go older at that age.
