"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

No doubt a similar take on this tip has been posted before, but I thought I'd share the benefit of my experience.

After weeks of tension between myself and a female friend, who I think very highly of, I decided that I was going to make my move.

As the night progressed, the voice inside my head started trying to talk me out of it:

"Think of the consequences if she rejects you"
"Think of your friendship"
"Ask her out over the phone instead. It will be easier"
"Wait until you find a better moment"
"Wait for more signals"
"You're going to embarrass yourself and lose your dignity"
"Abort plan! Abort! Abort!"

I had just given up on the idea altogether when I suddenly started listening to a different voice - one that said:

"Think of the consequences if you don't make a move!"
"She is going to lose respect for you"
"You're afraid"
"You're too nice"
"You're heading into the friendzone"
"If you don't move NOW, you might not get another chance"
"How will you feel when she tells you about her new boyfriend or some other guy who did make a move"
"When she meets this other guy, expect your friendship to take a backseat"
"You will be tormented by the question 'what if?'"
"You know what regret feels like. You don't want to feel that way!"

...and so on.

Suddenly the hesitation had gone. I didn't wait for the right moment, I created it by saying and doing the right thing, before following it up with a kiss that was very well received.

I am a firm believer in thinking of consequences before acting. However, don't forget to consider the consequences of not acting too.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Just thought I'd bump this tip as I recently let the negative voice back into my head and cause me to lose out.

I cant believe how many great posts fall down the pages, if people read this, they wouldnt be so depressed and asking questions.

Jariel, keep up the good work.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

i like it Jariel. alot of people question to many things in their head, which leads to hesitation. the mind plays tricks on you. how many times have you taking action when you thought it wasn't going to get you nowhere and the outcome was a surprise and you were glad you did it.

it's like getting a degree in school and moving back to your small home town of 100 people.

1. do you go back to your comfort zone where all you friends and family are?
no! they lived their life, you gotta live yours

2. take action and leave everybody behind and go out and actually do something with your life? yes! what a waste of a degree and most small towns would not have the job opportunities that a big city can provide.

do what you think you cannot do! you'll be surprised
