How valid is this statement? And what constitues "training to failure"?Training to failure often is not recommended. It is believed to have a negative effect on an individual’s CNS, or central nervous system.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
By negative effect, they mean it's taxing on the CNS. This isn't a bad thing you just have to understand more about periodization to compensate for this. It does take the CNS atleast 48 hours to recover from a high intensity workout.Training to failure often is not recommended. It was an interesting question. I can distinguish two situation "to failure".Originally posted by wheelin&dealin

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
That doesn't make sense.Originally posted by Shiftkey
The idea is to go to failure, not to force past failure.

CNS be damned, your workset starts when you think you've failed.
And hell, I don't think anyone who rest-pauses or dropsets (both of which include training beyond failure) isn't growing ..
Try being constructive. Constructive criticism is always welcome, pointless criticism is... well, pointless.Originally posted by RaWBLooD

No. CNS and soreness aren't the same thing - and the whole CNS question is overanalysing IMO, if you feel run down and half-dead all the time then you're being taxed too much and need a break, otherwise just don't worry.Originally posted by bcherb2
Still havent read anything credable as to what "CNS taxing" is other than a vague term. Im pretty sure in essence you all are just trying to say "dont lift if you're sore" in so many words? maybe not...
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
