Can you suggest books about social engineering, or psychological manipulation?

Im interested in any solid book which gives fundamentals of social engineering and how to manipulate human interaction.

A book like the 48 laws of power has been very useful but now Im looking for something more specific, any suggestion?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

This isn't a book about social engineering or how to manipulate human interaction, but a good read is Conditioned Reflex Therapy, by Andrew Salter.

If you're looking for a book on social engineering, you can get "Propaganda" by Edward Bernays for free, legally. It's in the public domain. If you want to learn more about Bernays, you can find an article on him in Wikipedia. I dislike his attitude that the so-called upper class know what's best for everyone but his methods, from what I've read, probably work.

Conditioned Reflex Therapy, even though it isn't written with the same outcomes in mind, will give you a decent understanding of the nature of our conditioned and unconditioned reflexes. It's a good read. Probably will give you a better understanding if you read it first and read Propaganda after reading it.

Im looking more for learning techniques than general culture something which I can apply for my gain, Im interested in the "how to" more than in the "how it works globally".

Because Im a very ambitious and greedy individual and Im ready to use any possible tool to accomplish my goals, wheter morally or not...the more I live in this world the more I realize my biggest fear is being "one of the many" a drone in the herd.

Lieberman's is pretty good. Psycho-cybernetics is more for inner game.

Another of Leiberman's books is "How To Get Anybody To Do Anything," and is pretty much based on the covert - influence part of NLP (other parts of NLP are therapy and inner game)

Another good one is Kevin Hogan's "Covert Persuasion."

Robert Greene's "Art of Seduction." I haven't read it yet, but I believe that it's supposed to be about swaying people to your way of thinking.

Worth a look; it'll be a good read, if nothing else.

lol how to manipulate people's minds. So you want to have better conversations with people basically.

@Tyte Eyes I have Art of Seduction. It's ok, nothing to write home about. it kind of encourages acting gay to get what you what, and I didn't like that. Law of Power 48 is way better

I would recommend a few books I personally liked

The Game by neil strauss - It was really cool to get inside the mind of a nerd loser, who made his way to charming everyone around him. The point of view style of the book helped me a lot!

The Millionaire Fastlane - Ok so this book is about money and making money, but it is my absolute favorite book ever! What it boils down to is, people want to know you based of what you offer them (excluding family sometimes) So this book talking about tuning your mind's frequency to that of an entrepreneur.

So basically offer value to people. He's got videos on youtube too that you can watch, before you read the book

Catch Me If You Can, a non fiction book about a real life "pretender". you wont believe the stuff he got away with. even talked himself out of jail once, walked right thru a cop raid/ambush, got off of a plane that cops overseas put him on, deporting to US. amazing stuff.
