Last night after my friend and I left a bar, we saw a girl getting into her car next to ours. My friend struck a conversation up first when I unlocked the car, and I soon went over to talk with them. She seemed to gravitate towards me, and near the end of the conversation I learned she didn't have a boyfriend and she lives pretty close to me. I got her number, hopefully it was a real one, and then we split our ways. I probably pulled a bad move in texting her last night so she would know my number before I called. I did not call her yet, and I did not get a text back from her. What should I do? How would you remedy the situation or did I mess it up beyond belief?

Yeah, you screwed up by texting her right away.

The only thing you can do now is wait 2-3 days and call her. If she doesn't pick up, leave a message stating that you will call her again at a specific time and day. If she is interested, she will be sure to be around for your call.

When you call again, if she doesn't pick up, forget her.

Would you give a girl that you didn't find attractive your number? No you most likely wouldn't! However, I've known girls to give out there number to ugly b*stards that they openly say they hate!

No you didn't make a bad move by txt'ing mate! What you did is saved yourself some hassale cos' you've discovered that YOU do not warrent an immediate reply! If she liked you it wouldn't matter when you txt'd, but cos she probably sees you as a regular guy she'll take her time txting you back if at all...Her phonebook is probably full of guys names that she's never even spoken too! Fvcking "phone number harvesters"...its like these chumps that have over 300 contacts on MSN, most they don't know, some don't even log in, and the remaining 5 are real friends - but hey we have to keep up the image of being popular!

Delete the number, if she txts you just ignore it...unless it's a good excuse for making you wait! Replying in good time to a txt, email, letter is just common courtesy!

So if I still want to talk to her I should wait until tomorrow and then call her up by just saying...hey it's Mayfly, how's it going. If she cared to remember me, I won't have to qualify where I met her right?

Not much I guess...I might as well go for it tomorrow night. Tonight be a little too soon. I should have waited till today to call and not text to make sure she had my number. But I have nothing to lose I figure.

Like I said, not replying is just a lack of courtesy and I take offence at that stuff - unless there is a good reason! Doesn't take much to reply!

But hey! that's just me!

This works great for most cases. Basically she’s telling you she’s dumb by not replying.... so in essence she has to.

Your also telling her that your smart and you only want people aroud you who are smart.

Your also telling her her looks are not important.

Get smart....

True in my experience, if she has enough interest in you dosen't matter when you call or text or what, she'll call you or text you back immediately...

She never answered any of the texts I left, even the funny one. I think I am going to give up on her or stalk her. Either works.

Anyways I used the same message and nothing.


I guess it all comes down to IL. If the girl likes you, you can send her a text, after 1 month of waiting, saying that you got diarrhoea, and she will still like you. On the other hand, you can be the most funny guy on the phone and all, and she won't give a damn cause her IL is low.

We've got some definite stalkers here... first message, no response... move on

I gamed a 2set of coursins in a lounge about 8 or 9 months back, ended up dancin with one, hookin up with the other, got head in the bathroom and she promised I could fvck her in the arse when i called. Got the number, called and got the voicemail, no message, thas it... over, no thinking or nada
