You are just repeating nonsense Ukrainian propaganda. If the Chechens were such “vicious fighters”, why wouldn’t the Russians send them into combat against the Ukrainians? Actually they tried, early in the war, and with poor results. The Chechens are good at one thing: guerilla warfare. Hit and run and ambush tactics. When it comes to conventional warfare, they have shown themselves as substandard fighters.

That is how many wars have been "won" over time because the attrition over years and years of that happening is simply too costly and too great for the attackers.

US is a nation due in large part to their successful guerilla warfare tactics in the initial stages of the American Revolutionary War, and they had it used against them in Vietnam.

And again in Afghanistan.

Just wait it out, cause small losses over and over again, disrupt supply lines and force the attackers to keep having to fix infrastructure instead of being able to focus on attacks and their main objectives. Bog things down and force them to take much longer than they want to do even the simplest of things.

Eventually it just becomes too costly in terms of manpower and monetary resources to keep going especially since it isn't leading to the results they want.

Repeating nonsense, I find myself thinking that exact thing every time I read your posts on basically any subject, you just try to be contrarian, like here for example, I never said anything about them being effective fighters at all, you've literally just created a narrative, attributed that narrative to me and then tried to deconstruct it.

I agree with statements that have been objectively substantiated with evidence. The other poster’s suggestion that Putin sent Chechens to Ukraine to keep Russian soldiers from defecting is nothing more than Ukrainian propaganda. There is no evidence for it whatsoever.

The suggestion that Chechens are “some of the most vicious war time fighters on the planet” is also statement that is not rooted in objective reality. If they were such vicious fighters, why would they perform so poorly on the battlefield?

For sake of discussion, as a combat veteran, i can categorically state that no matter how viciously trained and dangerous an operative is, said operative/s can be trounced with technology, ordinance and sheer numbers.

In military circles, the fighters from this part of the world are in fact known as being relatively hard to kill given even odds. But everyone bleeds.
