"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Can any Master Don Juan post a brief overview of what is a Man/DJ?

Now don't get me wrong, I have been reading LOADS of articles, but there are so many I tend to get confused, so I was wondering if any of you experienced guys could resume what it is to be a Man and/or a DJ (say a list with short explanation of every terms/way of action/thinking/etc). I don't want huge explanations, I can find that on multiple topics all across the board. Only brief stuff. And I don't only mean on the level to get woman, but on the level to improve yourself, improve who you are to better accept yourself. I guess it would be better that way than to be told a bunch of techniques on how to flirt with girls and always failing because you are fake and you act like someone that you aren't.

Now this would not only be helpful to me, but to everyone, who like me, read a lot, but tend to get confused and lost.

Also, if a topic like this exists, instead of flaming me, please send me the link and I'll close this one.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

It's good, but not exactly what I had in mind.

I was hoping for something more like the DJ bible, yet A LOT more brief and easy to navigate with everything important to the DJ philosophy in a list with brief explanations. Say not the whole articles about every point, but a brief resumé of what it is and how to act it.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Yea ok I know that. I'm not a noob lol I've read a lot about all of the DJ stuff... It's just it would help an awful lot to have a huge resumé by a real pro of the forums... Hell it could be an article worth of being on the bible, but I just don't have the skills nor knowladge to do it myself.

Actually I posted in the wrong thread and edited it to say that because it's all I could think to add right now.

Let me think about it more and get back to you.

Being a real DJ is about learning the good concepts of the DJ info here, throwing out the bad, and then applying it, not just sticking around on this forum. Don't get me wrong, sharing experience and incite is good, but once you learn the concepts, apply them and be the real man. Pook evolved into a man and has been long gone, and others are gone too.

The essence of being a man is often described by phrases "be yourself," "follow your heart," "be bold." The problem is, for most people these phrases mean nothing. Most people have forgotten what it means to be yourself, follow the heart, be bold. Most people haven't aligned their lives to their dreams in so long, these are just empty catch-phrases to them.

Forget about understanding a rigorous logical description of what it means to be a man or a DJ. That would either be false or reductive. In any case, logically understanding such a thing would not get you a step closer to becoming the man of your dreams. Read this carefully: you will only understand what it means by doing it, and not a second before.

But since you wanted a description, this is the best I can do. Imagine your ideal self - not just in terms of muscles and diet, material things and women, although they are perhaps a part of your ideal self - your ideal self in terms of behavior. Are you courageous, are you honest, are you good, are you hard-working, are you witty, are you smart? Of course you are! Being yourself is actually just a matter of actualizing your ideal self, combining dream and day in Pook's well-known phrase. It makes no logical sense to say "you are yourself when you are your ideal self" but that is the only way to describe it. You see how this discussion has descended into absurdities? The only way to understand it is to feel it. Don't worry so much about understanding. You can understand the logical reasoning behind every single post on this board and still never approach a woman and still say repulsive things. You can read all the posts in the world about being man and still be a woman!

Act! Bring your ideal self to life in every way. What good is another person's vision of what it means to be a man. What's YOURS?!

a man / dj is someone who tries his best to be a good person but doesnt let anyone walk all over him like a doormat. he is confident in his own choices and decisions because he has the balls to take responsibility for his own actions. he also knows when to hold 'em and he knows when to fold 'em.
