Generally early 20's.

Bartenders must blend in with the average age of the crowd that frequents nightclubs.

3 important criteria in having a successful nightclub besides location and design/layout is having the right personnel; a motherfvcking youthful manager who seduces and fvcks around with the ladies, a motherfvcking DJ who also fvcks around with the ladies and a motherfvcking bartender who also fvcks around with the ladies.

Remember that when deciding on carrying out bartending.

If you fit into that frame, then you'll do just great.
I am mid 20s and going on to late twenties, no service industry experience at all. Is it best to give up then?

Unless you’ve got nepotism on your side you’re not gonna get in without decent experience (like starting in a restaurant or dive bar, knowing the industry & then graduating to such an environment (nightclubs are intense & demanding)) Also, the hiring manager should know better than hire a person with a 9-5, they’ll just burn themselves out & not be effective. If you’re a chronic insomniac it might help to mention that lack of sleep won’t be any type of disadvantage. If you don’t have experience but are insistent on getting in at a club see if they need a busser

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
