"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Hey guys,

Since I'm new on the forum, I'll start with a simple introduction of myself, feel free to skip this part if you have little time or genuinely don't give a damn. I'm an 18-year old virgin that vowed that I will increase the quality of my life on all fronts. For now, I'm planning to improve in school, sports, popularity and, of course, dating.

I'll also say right from the start that although I do want a better life, my life as it is right now isn't THAT bad:

- I have a pretty decent amount of friends. (Less than in my previous school, but ok.)
- I'm a writer, and I occasionally get gigs to write for others. (Again, less than before, but most contacts watered after being forced to be inactive.)
- I have somewhat above average grades, but nothing WOW. (Plus, I failed two grades, had to change subjects in each one because of random ****.)
- I have 5-10 hot female friends that I regularly converse with and can freely soft kino. (I had someone else in tunnel vision sight at that time, so I didn't really care much for them.)

Hmm, reading it over, I take it back, I'm pretty sure I'm at a low in my life.

Worst is, a few years back I was THE man. Tons of friends, lots of enemies. (I love those.), easily got high grades, multiple girls who wanted me, and at one school I was at as a 1st year I even had a freaking fanclub, with a bombshell HB9 Asian 2nd year as it's founder, who later became my gf:D. (Yeah, I went to a lot of different schools, I move a lot.)

I've always seen life somewhat like a game rpg. That's roleplaying game btw. (Noticed someone wrote something similiar on the forum, great coincidence, should make explaining much easier.)

What do I mean with this? In an rpg, you start a game in which you are someone else, and generally you start with horrible conditions, no friends, no job, no skill, no gf, nothing. And it's your job to change that into becoming a perfect popular stud who earns way too much in a certain timespan. While this type of rpg generally is endlessly clicking to raise your stats the right way and socialise in the meantime. It can be compared to real life. (It's based on it, duh.)

There is one big difference though. When you try to keep levelling and become better, you have to choose the best options and slowly build your way up. We do miss a few options though, no matter how much you search, you don't see the option to:

- Sit on the couch all day.
- Browse Facebook.
- Whatever else that doesn't contribute to life improvement.

That's when I noticed something: You will never improve when you're wasting time.

It sounds so damn simple, but we still don't do it. You won't become an expert with woman without talking to one. You won't get popular without meeting people. You won't become smart without ever doing research.

When we talk forever to a girl in game, do we always get the same positive reactions? In a good game, no. She will laugh, she will get angry, she sometimes just won't care. But you learn from that and know what to say next time. You gain experience by putting time into something, and eventually reap the rewards.

The main character keeps working endlessly towards his goal until he can't even stay awake, goes to sleep, and continues when he's up. While this is an extreme version, we should strive to get this determination. We should also have at least one thing in our life that is so important, that going on Facebook would be the most boring thing you could think of. (What? You want me to come on Facebook? Can't I go tomorrow, I want to finish writing this.)

tl:dr's can start from here.

I'm not sure if this is important, but I've been crushing on a single girl in my class for months now, but she's extremely hard to read. Even though she got a new bf a week before I met her, she's been all over me short after and was flirting with me more than her bf even though we're all in the same class.

At one point she started joking about stealing my gum and kissing me and stuff, but when she tried to kiss me, she was in the middle of the park, and I don't even remember how, but I knew her bf was behind me and that she didn't see him. Being not enough of an ass to steal her in such a way, I pretended to move in just to hug and got let her head lean on my shoulder instead.

She probably took that as a rejection, and since she wanted out of the relationship anyways, she decided to cheat with another dude in my class:( .

This basically ruined my game and caused a lot of other problems, but I still kind of like her even though I'm still having trouble forgiving her for that, now we barely even talk.

You could say this is my way of getting her jealous and wanting me again, but on the other hand, I might forget all about her before the month is over. (Although I doubt that.)

Either way, I feel like I'm wandering off the actual topic and going too deep into this. I'm basicly pushing the reset button of life, and starting all over. Straight to level 1. (No, I won't be leaving the house naked in my underpants.)

Naturally, my goal is to achieve max level on all my current subjects, but the one I'll need you professionals for is dating, and maybe popularity, since they're strongly connected in certain environments.

I need you guys to help me create assignments I have to pass to gain a level. Focus on making the experience build up. Like you start with relatively easy missions, but keep increasing the difficulty until level 100.

Knowing that every one of you here is unique, and has different views and experiences, I understand that some will make the assignments too easy, and others too hard, but I'll try to collect as much information as possible and create something that's balanced, and might even be used by others in the future if it works out.

Since it would be too much to ask for you guys to write from level 1 all the way to level 100, I'd like to start collecting data on what would be the assignments from level 1-10. I shouldn't be able to do a lot of levels too fast, even though it's early on. But it also shouldn't be something that would take 2 weeks.

I'll give you guys a quick example. Remember, this may seem like too much, too little or just right to some, and something else to another, It's just a base that can be freely molded to your liking.

Here it goes:

Level 1
  1. Create eye-contact and smile 0/10
  2. Approach stranger 0/3
  3. Have a 3-minute conversation 0/1

Level 2
  • Create eye-contact and smile 0/15
  • Approach stranger 0/5
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 0/3
  • High five when appropriate 0/1

  • Have a 3-minute conversation 0/10
  • High five when appropriate 0/5
  • Hug HB7+ as a greeting 0/1

Level 5
  • Approach stranger 0/25
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 0/15
  • High five when appropriate 0/10
  • Hug HB7+ as a greeting 0/3
  • Number close 0/1

Level 6
  • Approach stranger 0/50
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 0/25
  • High five when appropriate 0/15
  • Hug HB7+ as a greeting 0/5
  • Number close 0/3

Level 7
  • Approach a group of strangers 0/10
  • Number close 0/5
  • Have a 10-minute conversation 0/3
  • Heavy kino 0/1

Level 8
  • Approach a group of strangers 0/15
  • Number close 0/10
  • Have a 10-minute conversation 0/5
  • Heavy kino 0/3
  • Kiss close 0/1

Level 9
  • Approach a group of strangers 0/25
  • Number close 0/15
  • Have a 10-minute conversation 0/10
  • Heavy kino 0/5
  • Kiss close 0/3

Level 10
  • Number close 0/25
  • Have a 10-minute conversation 0/15
  • Heavy kino 0/10
  • Kiss close 0/5
  • Makeout 0/1

As I said, this is just an example, feel free to add and remove assignments, change amounts and difficulties, I'll need as much as possible DJ's on this, really appreciate all the help and feedback.:D

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

just because you're only doing 'level1' dont let that stop you from #closing or at least trying to # close.
also take a look at Don Juan Bootcamp

might be something you'd prefer to try.

Edit: just saw 'heavy kino'

Kino is a thing that needs to escalate, so the hi 5 and hugs are ok but heavy kino should all start as small and escalate as she responds.

Totally feel you when you talk about living life as if you're playing one big RPG. That definitely used to be me. Gotta tell you man, there are some negative aspects and consequences of that mentality that you have to be prepared for.

Anyway, your Levels are way too specific. I've found that thinking of "the game" as a "game" can be very harmful mentally. Instead, I totally agree with Purefilth. Just approach girls, hit on them, and try to take the interaction as far as you can (whether that be #, kiss, whatever), and learn.

Hey Purefilth,

I get what you mean, I wasn't planning on just using eye contact and smile even though I saw a great opportunity lie ahead of me, or to approach and then leave, it's the least that I'm supposed to do, but with every encounter I should obviously go as far as possible.

I've already read most of the articles before I even wrote the post, but thanks for the reference, I'll try to see if there's still something interesting.

Like with my earlier example, I don't go just go to someone and do the assignment, I approach until I get to the point of kino, and slowly escalate and if I get to the point of heavy kino, which would maybe not be the right for it, then I can add that bit of experience and get closer to level up, get what I mean? (I'm not an idiot you know!)

Cool man, just the way it was written I thought Wtf? This dude gonna say hi and the grab at her titties or something! Do what's good for you. If you start a journal lots of people will look in and give you tips and props.

Have fun :D

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I figured you thought I'd do something like that! I don't really like the taste of shoes in my balls so I think that wouldn't be such a good idea.;)

Hey man. I'm also new and gotta say , your levels idea is pretty amazing. I think I'm gonna follow it through.
Why thank you, I got a follower already! But as Purefilth pointed out already, don't forget that some of the harder assignments are supposed to be escalated to that point, and don't go straight for it and run or something.:p (I really should make that clearer later on.)

Yesterday I went out and tested how hard level 1 was. I didn't make it in one go, but I think it went pretty well and I'm sure that it's do able for others if they push through.

Level 1
  • Create eye-contact and smile 8/10
  • Approach stranger 2/3
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 1/1

Not bad for a first try, but I think I could've still done better.:p We'll see how I'll do later on.

I'm a little late today, been busy with a lot of school stuff and work. (Managed to get a new client to write for, so I'll have something to do for a while. :D)

Either way, here are yesterday's stats:

Level 1
  • Create eye-contact and smile 13/10
  • Approach stranger 3/3
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 2/1

Hmm, didn't I meet all the requirements to gain a level? Doesn't that mea- LEVEL UP!

*Fireworks shootin' in the air and *****

I know I should be able to contain my excitement, but it sort of feels like a new beginning, you know? Just makes me kind of happy I guess.

For those who don't know, these are my next assignments, although I've already started partly.

Level 2
  • Create eye-contact and smile 3/15
  • Approach stranger 0/5
  • Have a 3-minute conversation 1/3
  • High five when appropriate 0/1

(I'm still wondering on whether or not I should convert excess points I had in the conquered levels. If I did that, it would obviously only count for the ones that were part of the assignments to begin with. e.g. I high fived someone yesterday, but that doesn't count. Tell me what you think.)

Since I still have an hour or two before I absolutely have to start working, so I'll tell you about a fun segment I had yesterday with my main target at school.

So we were going to buy something to drink at the store near our school, we had a free hour, so it was kind of empty, I sort of know the female cashier who works there, have occasional chits etc. Either way here's the story:

As we're walking towards the counter I casually told her with a slight smile: "This time it's your turn to pay." She didn't make a big deal out of it, but gave me a 5 while we were waiting in line. I then made a quick tease how she rarely dares to approach the woman herself and always let me go up there even when she was paying. Not sure if I was spot on, but she immediately got embarrassed, started laughing hard and slapped my butt. I then looked her in the eye, dead serious and said: "That was payment, for the drink." She was laughing even harder and slapped my ass again. I didn't see the second time coming so I just looked up and sighed, then smiled at her as she was getting floored for some reason. The whole time, the cashier was looking at us as if we were crazy. XD

But I feel I could've done better at the second slap, maybe do something myself, I don't know. Just felt like telling you guys a story, since a lot of guys with some kind of journal seem to do it. :p

I'm a little sick today, so I won't be approaching today, but I'll think I'll be fine tomorrow.

See you guys later!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
