"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Don't really know about fatal, but it is certainly a declaration of interest, in her eyes at least. You have therefore "shown your hand" so to speak, and so have lost the initiative.

I think that pushing ahead on this at the moment will be very difficult- she will be on her guard. Also, the fact that she hasn't been in touch may (she might just be a flake or rude?) mean that she isn't/wasn't playable in any case.

This sucks i didnt even know it was a romantic movie, I sent her an SMS saying that i saw the movie without her since she couldnt make it & that it was a bit mushy but a good movie nonetheless.

Good salvage attempt no?

well better then saying the truth because the truth would sound like an excuess, and would genrally not have bene a good thing to say, you may want to see the film incase she asks you about it, if she finds out you lied, that would be bad. what you said was good as it shows you are not dependnt on her, you are not making plans with her but just incoperating her in your plans so it was a good move. all is not lost, just keep trying, phone her up and ask her if she wants to just hang out or somthing like that.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Did you actually watch Casablanca? It's not mushy at all. Yes it's a WW2 movie set days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The "romance" part of it has dark tortured characters doing dark tortured ****. This isn't one of the lame romance-comedies you're used to seeing in today's movies. The little humor in the movie is best described as "gallows" humor. While romance is one of the central story arcs, it's not the absolute focus of the movie; and I think calling it a romance is rather misleading. This aint no chick flick.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

First of all..WHAT THE FAWK WERE YOU THINKING???? your 20 years old and she is probably around the same age...why in the fawk would you be watching an old classic movie like that? You need to think and you your head...what would a 20 year old hot babe enjoy doing? It doesn't take a rocket science degree to figure this shyt out!!!!

Secondly: You thought it was a fawking war picture...and what young bytch in her even craziest mind would want to come over to YOUR place to watch a fawking war pic???? Once again you didn't think. You only thought from your own perspective.

Finally, if you want a date, make it something your peer groups will find exciting and fun...not some boring assed sitting on a couch watching what you thought was a old black and white war film...sorry I am blown away at someone your age who would even thing a 20 year old girl would want to watch a war pic???

This shows you have no clue son. I'm 45 fawking years old. Iv'e seen that movie and even took a date to a old assed theater to see it..but at that time she was my girlfriend and she was into old classics.

Now did you even ask what she is into? All this month did you even find out anything that she likes to do?????

Once again people get her life story and find out all you can about your targets.

Let this be a lesson learned kid. Now when you talk to her on the phone don't make it about you or what your doing...find out about EVERYTHING you can about HER!

Why?

Not cause it makes you an AFC.

No because it will give you the keys to her inner doors.

ok i don't see the big deal here????? Inviting a girl over to watch a movie is a sign of interest??? Well isn't everything??? I mean you'll have to go out with a girl eventually, can't just say "hi" to her forever, you have to show some interest otherwise you wouldn't be interested and why would you be talking to her in the first place?? Sorry that "sign of interest" thing just made no sense to me. And while I don't see anything wrong with it, inviting a girl to see some old lame movie does seem kind of nerdy.

I'd add, when you make plans, don't go into specifics.

If you're going to dinner, don't say where.
if you're watching a movie, don't say which one.

Sometimes I wouldn't give details period. For example, instead of telling the girl you're going rock climbing, just say "we're going out on saturday, wear something athletic" and leave it at that.

Don't show your entire hand, it kills the mystery. Keep her on her toes, keep her surprised. Always have her guessing what's gonna happen next. It makes her think about you more, and makes her look forward to spending time with you because she never knows what you got in store for her next.

And what Player said is key. You have to know this girl inside out. I recommend reading some of Pimpologist's tips in the DJ bible:

http://www.sosuave.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16567

I think these tips are worth their wordcount in gold. If you properly carry the conversation, she will open up to you, and let you into her world. You have to know her interests man, you can't just wing it.

Only fatal if she doesn't like classic movies. But that's not important. I've struck out before because of my taste in movies. We both like cult movies. And when I showed of my favorites to her, she was dissapointed and lost interest in me. Fact is, today's generation has a different definition of what a cult movie is from mine. Just a misunderstanding.

Similar to the same situation you're in, except you're both around the same age. When choosing a movie to watch with a chick, unless she specifies being open to variety, you might want to go for something that speaks to your own generation instead of a "classic" that was made almost half a century before you were born. Casablanca is a classic alright, but that being said, it falls outside of the mainstream consciousness of your generation. Notice how little you knew about it before seeing it.

Truth is, the definition of classic, notwithstanding, a lot of people will nevertheless downplay a movie or tv show made even only a decade before they were born, just based on the fact of age. Hell, I got troubles getting some of my female friends (who are also Sci Fi geeks) to look at the original Battlestar Galactica to see why I disapprove of the new SciFi Channel version.
