"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Thanks SoldMysoul..

I really do care a lot for her. So I sent the text but I only did it so i can walk away with a clean slate. I don't expect her to answer but at least I can clear my concious and move on. I feel more at peace internally. I honestly would like to think she isn't one, but I guess I really don't know her as well as I thought I did, because I also thought she was being truthful with me.

It is probably better I do move on, and I hope i can find someone to replace her soon. But I feel much better having gotten that off my chest. And you are 100% she isn;t good for me.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Bro, you can lie to me if you want, but don't lie to yourself. You deep down want this one to come correct after all the water under the bridge. With that water, you should let her drift away on the boat or in her case, ship she is on with all the other guys she is getting down with. No offense, but do make the right decision. Fooling me is one thing, but be honest with yourself.

Yea you are right.. I'm still glad i did it to clear my conscience. I haven't found that new someone yet. I know she exists.. but until then my heart will be stuck on this one for a while. But I do agree with you. I take it this has happened to you before?

And yes sir...it happens to us. I would say most, but I may be misspeaking. I speak from experience and I know how it is to be to stuck on one. Some will say, "best way to get over one is get another one under you." I tried that and It worked for a bit, but my mind was always on the one my heart was set on. Not sure of your age, but take this to the grave with you or at least until you find Ms.Right: The cowboy does not always get the girl!

If you like country music, then it will ring with even more resonance. If not, still believe.

Life never works like you want or plan..well for most it probably doesn't. But what life does is give you other opportunities and when you are knocking on opportunities door, you best have your bags packed.

What I find admirable is YOU admit you still have feelings for her. When thoughts of her come in your mind and I know they do, thoughts of her doing the football team or whomever, quickly get them out.

Not sure of your age, experience, looks or physique, but now is the time to work on you. You have tons of work my friend and I wish you the best!
I just got over an ex fiance' and it was damn hard. Have had 5 women since her and still not found the right one, but I am doing much better. I worked on me!!! You do the same!

I'm not an idiot and I can do without the insult. It's not like I randomly walked up to a girl and called her a slut expecting something positive. This girl acted like one so I titled her behavior appropriately.
Aw, c'mon guy! Lighten up. It was a satirical response to a rather poorly-worded thread subject and premise. :D

'sides, you don't care about this girl anymore, right? You are completely over her, right? ;)

You know how this girl wouldn't matter anymore? Look at my sig.

Edit: Yep. You still care for her. And you know what's sad? That you actually still pine for this girl, even though she took multiple dicks in her orifices while she was with you. You know how messed up that is?

I'm out. Good luck to you, man.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

You really should not have sent that text. You also should not have sent the message explaining why you cut ties, etc.

If you want to be safe from being hurt, don't expose your emotions. If a girl told me that she had been cheating on me, for example, and that really hurt me, I would reply "Samesies" and not talk to her anymore. I would lick my wounds in peace, then track down my next girl, while she would have this furious inner dialogue "Was he serious?? Should I have told him that? Was the other girl hotter than me?"

Next time a situation like this comes up, end it with as few words as possible. Its much better if she pours her heart out in a letter to you than vice versa.
