What do you do when the new love interest is in a class full of hyper class clowns who are funnier than you and get attention? There's one in particular who always totes a guitar around and I can't do that. Am I basically screwed but not the way I wanted? The only way to outdo them is with caffeine but I don't want to be dependent on it.

Be your own person, be laid-back or be an annoying ass clown, but you dont have to resort to using caffeine because you think it will get you ahead, it wont.
The girl is probably laughing at that guy because he is such an idiot. Thats why alot of people would laugh.
So just relax, and talk to the girl the way YOU would, not the hyper ADD kids, or the over-caffeinated guitar-totin wannabes

I just give girls my full attention, and make them only care about me. Does she sit near you? Here's what I usually do:
-I switch their books, so when they open it, and notice it's mine, they have to ask for it back.
-When they answer all the questions in one day, and don't answer one. Say in a jerky attitude "I'm surprised you don't have a comment on that one."
-Stare at her, and then when she notices continue staring, and when she looks down and looks back up, keep staring until she says "Quit it." 3 times or she sounds annoyed.
And go from there. Stuff like that just naturally comes to my head after I did it for a while.
Then when she wants your attention, just go one day on her attn, and then the next day off attn. Make her wonder about you.
