"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I read your feedbacks from my last entry about going overboard with the C&F...and it suddenly hit me; if I DID go overboard, I'm pretty sure I have scarred my image to at least a certain degree.

The thing is, I really do believe that DJ/SoSuave stuff boosted my confidence SKY HIGH compared to my other 3 years in high school. 3 years of AFC, one last year as a senior to practice and pull it off! Knowing that I have the confidence, I know I can continue to refine it and build up on it so approaching will be easy as breathing.

But, because it took me a while to realize that I go overboard with the C&F...my image as the confident/funny guy may have been scarred. I think it's because I was so eager to try out these new stuff that I learn from the forums and sites. I blindly believed that using C&F would help WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED, but I learned this the hard way. On the other hand, I believe that I am able to naturally conjure up some C&F based on the current situation or based on who I am talking with, and what we are talking about.

Now, the question is this:

For the ladies that may think that I'm just a jackass, how could I patch things up? From my last entry, I said that some of the girls gave me a weird look + smile, and sometimes the girl(s) get slightly quiet. SO what must I do to fix and clean up my image? Do I still continue the C&F but on a lighter degree?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

NO MORE C+F. You're making an ass of yourself.

Just stop, and when you talk, be nice and friendly and brief.

Basically summed it up.

Seems like you have a looooong ways to go though.

Don't focus too much on "techniques"

I know how it's really hard to explain this though as I didn't get it for a really long time either. One month you'll just stop thinking about it, and you'll be able to spot things naturally.

Don't use rinse and repeat things.

Don't worry too much about how you are being, yet realize your mistakes when you make them and correct them.

Go with the flow, don't waste time, and don't give a **** all at the same time :).

There's one thing I wish I relized during highschool; after school, you don't have to see any of those guys again. F*ck your reputation there, very soon you'll be out of there & will have figured out so many things through experience. Keep experimenting.

well if thats the right thing to do i'll be a master.

i read this thread and i coulda swore it was started by me. man i went through the same thing. now every girl has those lingering feelings that im an ******* and well often treat me like i dont have feelings, which can hurt for depressive people like me. and alot of guys think im an ass, but thats more because of how nice i am to girls.

i really never thoguht about patching thigns up though.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
