Alot of people are scared to let go.. let go of friends, of jobs, of girls, of situations... They attach themselves so deeply to the past and to this part of them who represents alot of stuff they don't like. The insecure part of them that is just not getting anywhere and just keeps falling back into the same circles, same patterns..
That is weak. Let go of that person. Bury that person. Move on from the past.. Don't be afraid to cut everyone off and start new.. What are you going to lose? People who aren't really your friends, girls who aren't good for you, jobs that you don't feel happy at, staying in situations that are not ideal for you-- are not going to help you become who you want to be.
Stop going back, stop looking back.. Move forward.
I had to really bury the old me.. I used to always look back and try to dig up the good parts while constantly battling the bad parts of who I was, the experiences I had, the person I thought I was.. but it was all waste. I had to really stop looking back. I had to really hate the person I was to let myself go and start building the new me.. We associate so much with the person we become-- its all ego.. The reality is we're no one but our given name and our identity fostered by experiences.. If the experiences haven't suited us, stop focusing on them.
Until you bury the old you, you'll never discover the new you.
