You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?
Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.
One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.
Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
I don't think he's stupid. Most men with a semblance of broader thought know fully well any blame for the current climate falls squarely on enabling manginas. She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Having one of those 'outside yourself' experiences?PlayHer Man said:Burroughs is still here, just not posting. He'll usually respond if you PM him.
Like (.)(.) said already.. he was getting a lot of heat from mods because certain sensitive men can't stomach TRUE words. He was hurting feelings. He was making people cry. He was causing sleepless nights. It was too much for the betas.![]()
He'll probably return at some point.
That's a good break down tits magee....and you defended your friend well. Props.( . )( . ) said:I don't think he's stupid. Most men with a semblance of broader thought know fully well any blame for the current climate falls squarely on enabling manginas. The lapdog cronies of femthink.
As a matter of fact I doubt anyone here "hates women" in true Ted Bundy style at all. You wouldn't "hate" a chimpanzee for shooting you. You'd have more anger toward the fvckin idiot who gave a monkey a loaded gun wouldn't you?
Regardless of the way in which it rubbed certain people, he made a lot of valid observations about the female nature. If he got banned because of incessant whining on the part of bisexual Al Shaprton wannabe loveshack transplant or POF ugs connoisseur from California (we all know who I'm talking about) or one of the other blue pill holdouts, it would be a great shame.Peaks&Valleys said:Negativity is not the answer my friend. You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.Peaks&Valleys said:As smart as your friend may be, and as knowledgeable he may be in the ways with women, his posts are dictating a guy that is off his rocker and just out to spew hate.
Ha! You sound like my girlfriend. If grown men discussing how they're governed causes you such distress may I suggest cutting your d!ck off and calling it a day?Peaks&Valleys said:As a DJ you need to be able to control your emotions...and say the right things. Play the politics for the time being.
This place is borderline loveshack-esque as it is and you want a further clamp down on ""HATE SPEECH !!!!!""Peaks&Valleys said:No one wants to hear hate on this forum. We're friends and a brotherhood, we don't want to hear that $hit.
Well apparently it wasn't Burroughs who couldn't handle "some opposition" now was it Sherlock. Keep up.Peaks&Valleys said:EDIT: bring him back, it's a free country, as long as he's willing to handle some opposition....
Nah, there is only one, Snarky.Zarky said:Aw, all the trolls in one thread, how romantic. <3
I don't see why Burroughs should have to sugar coat his words for emotionally frail betas. Why should he have to change for others?Peaks&Valleys said:That's a good break down tits magee....and you defended your friend well. Props.
But I'm sure you understand, as a logical rational human being you have to admit, Burrouggs is at the farthest end of the DJ spectrum.
I recently saw a post from years ago where Burrouggs was commenting on a Zarky thread and he seemed all honky dory...and in agreement with him. Times have obviously changed.
My question, what has happened? Why the constant negativity now??
Negativity is not the answer my friend. He may be smart, and have his own views on the world, but the way he states it, is through a negative light that rubs people the wrong way. You know it, I know it, the mods know it....he should know it. What's the deal?

No one wants to hear hate on this forum. We're friends and a brotherhood, we don't want to hear that $hit. We come here for answers, sometimes tough love is what it takes, but rarely. I laugh at it, but with some of these young guys, it could be a different story....
Words are powerful, take heed in what you say, someone may actually listen to them.
EDIT: bring him back, it's a free country, as long as he's willing to handle some opposition....
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
