All data that comes from Match.com is 'dating app data' referring to only a particular segment of society.

Trust me, the percentage of women outside of dating apps who want to be in LTR/marriage is quite a bit higher than 23%.

Match llc dating apps are dying and they have been caught and bring sued. I don't trust anything they put out.

Most of the women left on their sites are trashy anyway when I browse their owned apps. I wouldn't want to be married to a fatty, tatted, or post wall anyway.

Bumble is a dating app that appeals to careerist/feminist women and is not an app owned by Match Group. It's not an app reflective of all unmarried women in the market.

That said, it is an indicator that traditional relationships are fading to an extent.

Some got cats instead.

What a disaster. Too much blame goes on individual men and women, or their parents, or simps, or whoever else falls victim to these problems. Dysfunctional "family units" are the majority now (if they even qualify as "family" to begin with). Who's been sterring this ship these last few generations? Forming normal families with children used to be done on autopilot. It doesn't get this bad on its own.

The Millennial generation has been a disaster from a dating standpoint. Millennials aren't even that young anymore as they range from 27-42 at the moment. The youngest Millennials are still on the younger side but the oldest Millennials are turning 40 now.

Early indications seem to be showing that Gen Z will be even more messed up than Millennials.

Yeah, Millennials at least had some living memory of an ideal to strive towards. Even if it was a lame one, they still grew up knowing a few people who matched the ideal family unit and remember a time when it was considered normal.

This nuclear family, which many refer to as "the 1950's" was pretty poor. It consisted of:
Father - final decision maker
Mother - distributor of resources
2.4 Kids - boy and girl ideally
1 Dog - optional

(btw, it's called "nuclear family" as in an alpha particle, two protons two neutrons)

No mention of extended relatives, no role for grandparents or in-laws, only two generations living at home, no organizing with other family units (ie. clan system), amount of kids just above replacement level, no trade the children inherited from their parents, grandparents can't play match maker (no arranged / semi-arranged marriages), no real penalties for divorce or abandonment, the family property was considered interchangeable with another house, no family-specific religion to pass down (eg. Ancient Greek families each had their own gods), no oaths or formality, it's never clear who has authority outside the parents (eg. If grandpa says X, mom says Y, and uncle says Z, who should the child obey?)

Basically, the nuclear family was more of a "household" than a real family. But yes, Gen Z is definitely even more worse off because they don't even have that to model themselves into anymore.

• Gender identity and politics are now the first date questions when these topics used to be a no-no just 10 years ago

Dating in 2023 is horrid for men of various countries and races if you're looking for a traditional family especially a Christian one (since religion particularly Christianity has been shunned like no othe rin 2023). The rise of poly relationships with average men sharing average or below average women will become a norm. The thrist is out of hand, unless something drastic happens to rebalance the dating game things are going to get worse and worse and worse

This is the biggest thing that I see. San Francisco has so many beta males sharing average to below average women in poly relationships. I am glad that I do not live in San Francisco.

Male thirst keeps getting worse and worse and women keep getting more entitled.
