there are hundreds of brown sauces. you look like a dumbass when you expect everyone to know exactly what you are talking about.
secondly, most sauces are consumed in miniscule quantities. its ridiculous to think that a sauce would have any critical effects on a diet.

Gav, you have to remember that these Yanks have no idea what you are talking about - although they will use their own expressions and expect everyone else to know what they are.
Workerouter knows quite a bit about what it takes to make an ass out of oneself (relax dude, just messin with ya) but in this case, by golly, I do believe he is right! It IS a little ridiculous to worry about the effect a sauce might have.

Worcestershire sauce is thinner like vinegar and goes great on scrambled egg or cheese on toast and in a number of dishes during cooking.
Brown sauce is thicker - like ketchup but brown and spicier.

I'm from Australia. We have no idea what 'brown' sauce is either. I thought he just couldnt be f*cked remembering the actual type of sauce it was and just remembered the colour. Most ppl in this forum aren't from the isles.

HP Brown Sauce, I eat that **** with EVERYTHING man, it's class! And if you live anywhere bar the UK and you don't have a clue, it's kinda like the A-1 Steaksauce, just a hell of a lot better! And eatin' a lot of it Gav is sound, unless its chips and **** ure eatin' it with, but still, tastes minted! Gav, where 'bouts in Scotland you from?

As for the original poster, you do have to consider the amount of the sauce you are eating as well as the contents of the sauce. Just about anything can be worked into a balanced diet.

So brown sauce is HP sauce? Isn't that everywhere in the states cause we have it all over Canada. If it's not like steak sauce then I don't know what the fvck you're talking about.

i find it hard to believe it isn't popular in the US
since i eat so damn much of it, it has an effect on my diet
i usually go through about 400g of it a week (half a big bottle) which means i'm getting over 100g of carbs a week from it
