"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

For those of you who have followed my story here is the final question. During an argument we had at the end of June my ex tried to hit me with a cutting board, a large pot and a ladle filled with gravy. Inorder to both protect myself and prevent her from causing damage I wrestled those items one by one from her. She claimed later that I twisted her hand so hard that I caused nerve damage. She went to a doctor and was put on physical therapy. I apologized but pointed out that I did not hit her and was only trying to disarm her. However, I have been paying for the therapy. Now last night I told her that we should go our separate ways and the last thing she said to me was that she wanted money to pay for her continued therapy and that I should give her a lump sum by Sunday. I told her that she should assume some responsibility for once in her life and that I won't be paying her anything. My logic - why should I pay for defending myself and haven't I paid enough (she's going for therapy twice a week since the last week of June).
Any feedback from members as to whether I am right or wrong will be appreciated.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

If you dont think you should pay for it, then dont.

simple as that really, sounds like she is trying to milk you for all your worth - dont take any of it.

Move on and let the ***** pay for herself, as your not responsable for it.

1)haw much is it?

2)you shouldn't have been paying for it in the first place. If you can kill a person in self defence, then shure enough you can restrain one if in danger of getting hit with a pan of gravey. (as long as you used reasonable force. You probably did, since she was your g/f and you had no intention of hurting her)

3)consult a layer. Your g/f has problems and she will try and hurt you BIG TIME.

I second that... this chick isn't gonna let you go that easy.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

you grab some b*tches wrist to disarm her

you ever had someone grab you wrist ?

did it cause permanent damage ?

what a load of $hit

we live in a world where people sue for everything

they trip over and they sue

they stub a toe and they sue

100 years ago they would get nothing and 100 years ago people would not think of sueing

you trip over the foot path its your own damn fault

some b*tch trying to harm you and you disarm her

DUDE

do the cops pay therapy costs to criminals they wrestle a knife off who is trying to kill them ?

no judge as f*cking weak and stupid as judges are these days would help the criminal

YOUR EX GF IS A CRIMINAL

SHE ASSAULTED YOU

ABILITY + INTENT = ASSAULT

you a sap for paying for her SCAM and yes i smell a SCAM

admit to nothing

the b*tch is faking it

spend the lump sum and get the b*tches legs broken

I'd even suggest that you contact your lawyer first, before she does. This will give you a huge advantage.

As to whether you should pay her a lump sum, absolutely not. Like others have mentioned, speak to a lawyer before she does.
