But I will say, buying a CAR, not one to just get from a to b, but a REAL, 50k plus car, without having some serious equity in your house, is asking for it.

Well, we were talking specifically about diesel vs. gasoline (engines) and the cost of gas. As far as maintenance is concerned, it has been well documented that diesel's require less maintenance. There's no big secret why; they have fewer parts and are just less complicated.Latinoman said:Maintenance still the factor.
