The minute you compete for a girls attention is the minute you lose.....
1. You're trying to steal her, from a jack***
2. Remember she should try to win you over
3. Cb's are insecure about themselves so think that they can't hang

<kinda relavant and similar to what I am going through this week>

Girl I am interested in, and THINK a good friend of mine, I will call him Bob, may also interested in her. I don't think Bob knows I am interested, though.

She has bluntly showed signs of interest to both of us...

I asked her out this Friday night. She said she's going to a party our group of friends is having, and asked me if I was going.. I said "hmm, I had thought about it but hadn't decided". Then she asked me if Bob was going. I said "yeah I think so".

Her plan: lets get them both there and let them compete for me

My plan: sealed another date with another chick. Not going to the party. Told Bob that I had a date and asked him to tell our girl I said "Hi, and sorry I couldn't make it".. If she cares and askes where I am at, well, Bob is innocent, he will tell her the truth! ;-)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
