Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Not only that, its more important to be married and be whipped and do whatever the hell she wants and says than be single because, the public values relationship or married men more than single men. I got friends who wives live across a pacific ocean apart, they are still scared of them.zekko said:It's not that marriage is so bad, it's that too many men feel they have to go along with their wives because they know the wives and the legal system have the men by the balls. If they end up displeasing their wives the courts are going to rape them, especially if they have children. That's why I think men are afraid to stand up for themselves, well some of them anyway.
Another good watch. Makes me cringe where our society is. I'm just glad I'm a Russian immigrant so my parents still confine to the proper standards of men and women for the most part. Might just move back to Russia when I'm older at this rateRobyn923b said:Thank you for sharing this clip. The men who "cross" the feminized social boundaries such as Bill are fewer and fewer, especially in a broadcast. If really makes me cringe to hear the reactions and watch behaviors that people (including other men) have against men. If the video below, a man who was hitting a woman was immediately labeled to "look like a psychotic person," yet when a man was being abused, it took over 160 people not doing anything for ONE person to step in. In fact, most people saw it as completely acceptable. It makes me very upset to watch these videos. It really fuels my masculinist fire. Feminism has not created and is unlikely to create equality. Instead, it has shifted aggression and abuse--with a heavy dose of hatred--towards men such that we are now the ones being abused and that is "perfectly acceptable." Note that I am not advocating for the victimization of men here. Instead, I urge you to take a stand and challenge these illogical and biased behaviors in your everyday life. Challenge female entitlement, double standards, and stupidity. Yes it is, difficult to stand up for the things in which you believe when you are under social pressure. But if we do not, things like these will become more than the norm that they are becoming:

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
And he can only get away with it because he's a "comedian" (which, by default, means that whatever he says is not to be taken seriously). Can you imagine a politician or some other "serious" public figure saying the same thing? It would surely spell the end of their career.Robyn923b said:The men who "cross" the feminized social boundaries such as Bill are fewer and fewer, especially in a broadcast.
I disagree. If we close our minds and settle into an attitude of self-defeat and helplessness, it will not get better. It all comes down to who you are on the inside and whether you want others to perceive you in a certain way. Regardless of which stand you take, some people will like you and others will dislike you--guaranteed. Therefore, it is on one's best interest to be oneself rather than--going back to what Bill says--nodding along to what society and women expect.Sofomore said:Yea definitely don't start preaching to your friends what Bill has said. Just keep it to yourself and understand what he says is true. Bill Maher gets away with it because he is a comedian and a well-respected man. You (reading this), although you might be funny, will probably start arguments with girls that will get you no where because they literally haven't opened their eyes to what is going on. It's a feedback loop of lies to keep everyone's head in the sand.
I HAVE voiced my opinions on this and all of my friends' girlfriends see me as a piece of sh!t because I come off as a threat to the security of their relationship. They know I get it, and their boyfriend's dont. Their heads are in the sand and that's how the girls want it to be. I've lost a couple friendships because of this. Although it's probably for the best. If someone is so easily persuaded to not be friends with someone because their girlfriend says so, they shouldn't be in my life anyways.Robyn923b said:I disagree. That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
