I was thinking of moving into a large city like Washington D.C or Manhattan Ny after I get a little older and get a better job. I was thinking of just rooming with a couple of people till I get enough money to get an apartment on my own.

Where would I meet new people in a big city where I dont know anyone?

What are the venues most people use?

If you could give me a list for example,

1. Internet
2. Clubs
3. Bars
4. Street Fairs

I know that some people my might say anywhere but its a known fact that some places are better than others.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I have never lived in either city, but grew up about an hour and half south of NYC.

Both are expensive, but NYC is more so than D.C. Manhattan is the most expensive city in the United States, but Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx are cheaper than Manhattan. A small apartment in Manhattan will probably cost you $1600 a month and upwards.

www.meetup.com is a good start.

thx

Thats a good site.

But what is ones social life like after college is over and work begins?

Does it slow down?

I always imagined life to be full of friends and parties depending on who you are.

hmm..

I have come to the conclusion that clubs, bars, and house parties are probably the best place to meet people outside of your social circle since they are more conducive.

I mean there just isnt any other place that offers the oppurtunity to hit on girls like these places will.

So for a don juan, a club or bar, or some type of party is a great place to get numbers and go on dates.

Or joining local groups is another way.

any more ideas.
