what's the use of a belt? does it help your posture or something?edmond said:Why do you need a belt, how long have you been lifting, do you really need a belt?
Every one in the gym walks around with a belt on, including to go to the water fountain, people seem to have forgotten the real reason for wearing a belt, now it is just a fashion accessory.
The serious lifter uses the belt ONLY for dead lift and squat, sub-maximum or maximum lifts.
The same with a wrist strap, only after you have mastered the perfect dead lift, should you try on the straps.
Good Luck.
Spes never mentioned a belt, he is talking about wrist wraps that wrap around the bar to help your grip when you're lifting heavy.edmond said:Why do you need a belt, how long have you been lifting, do you really need a belt?
