I don't care what people say or call me.. But I don't understand this. A girl can ignore your texts for days, and reply back. But if a guy does the reverse to a girl, he's considered a jerk?

I've had a plethora of girls do it to me before. Why am I a jerk if I do it?

What's the rationale behind it? I have to kiss the ground they tread?

The reason why people classify other people as rude or a jerk if a text message goes on responded to for an extended amount of time is because the other person is insecure.

It’s the double standard.

The way that I take it is that you gave off a first impression being a certain type of person. Now after having read a whole lot of stuff here, you changed. And it was a sudden one too. It isn’t congruent with your personality or who you are and people aren’t used to it. The person who they think you are doing these things is a jerk because ts just not like him. Who you are now though is different but they can’t see that.

It’s basically just first impressions. First impressions matter a lot.

Believe me, if they call you a jerk it means you are probably doing most things right.....

A jerk is supposedly selfish and takes care of his own needs above all right?

if you don't fight tooth and nail for what's yours....you'd never fight tooth and nail for her (potential protection/family etc)
