Bars/clubs in Toronto

I'm planning a trip to Toronto soon with a couple friends, and I'm just looking for some suggestions of things to do while I'm there. Any bars with a great selection and friendly people would be great. I'm a big Scotch fan, so I'd be in heaven if someone knew of a bar with a great Scotch selection. Thanks.

Not a huge fan of bars, but good clubs are Guvernment, System Soundbar, Viva, Tonic, etc.

Add Joker to the list of good clubs... I've never had a bad time there.

You're really not into the club scene are you? Seriously that place was AMAZING years ago.. how old are you? maybe that's the reason you like it so much. I have been part of the scene for quite some time and I'm sorry but the place SUCKS!

I'm not claiming it's amazing, just that I've never had a bad time there. The only night I would consider going is Saturday though because 80's in the main room and dance upstairs. But no, I'm not really into the club scene and don't know what the latest "hot spots" are. Besides, how good can Toronto clubs really be? Have you ever been to NYC? It's insane there.
