Bar weight

I notice some people include the bar weight when listing their lifts... is this common practice? Does a bars' weight vary that much, or is there close to a generic standard? I think this can often be the difference between any two individuals listed routines...
 

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

The standard is always to add the bar's weight. When you lift weight, you lift all the weight, including the bar.

Bars are typically 45 lbs, and 15 lbs for the curl bars....

225 lbs is the bar + two plates on each side.

315 = 3 plates each side

405 = 4... etc.

thanks mate, i'll add 20 odd kilos onto my squat/bench/deadlifts then.

yeah i include the bar in all my lifts

my bar is about 20kg - its an olympic bar.
