I didn't wanna hassle with waxing so I just found the closest trimming clippers as I didn't wanna shave it and risk hairs coming in coarser.
Downsides of this that I've found were: ingrown hairs leading to pimples/acne. Also if you wear lighter fitting shirts, the stubble could show through the shirt.
Personally if you wanted to looksmax and hang out the beach often, I'd think the waxing could be worth the hassle and pain.
For me though, I'm just sticking to trimming with clippers.
