Sharing a little tip that has gotten me a decent amount of success over these past few months.
This works.. alot, of course the set interest level always varies.
When your buddy/wing opens a set, i usually nose dive into it after him
spitting these lines to the targets friends..
LINES!
"Hey excuse my friend here, Hes very outgoing... );"
"He always does this, approaching total strangers.."
"I tell him he cant just walk up and talk to strangers.. But yet here
he goes again! look at him.. thinking hes so boss, jeeze.."
"Sorry about my friend here, i tell him he cant just talk to
random people but he does it anyway.. wow so rude huh );?"
"look at him go, ohhhh jeeze, god i cant go anywhere with this guy"
USUALLY the targets friends laugh a little and got completely disarmed
most of the time.
Ill point at him and go "Alpha!" Then point at myself and go, Me.. BETA

If i see my wing needs my assistence, I usually look for ...
- The wtf look from targets friend.. Whos this guy talking to our HB now? wahh
- If its 2 girls ill wait until her friend is derping watching them talk..
feeling left out, bored etc.. If shes on her phone or doesnt care i wont
bother, if shes cute go in GLADLY using the same lines above.
- If its a couple, girl and guy, and the dudes a chode and getting antsy over his
"girl" being chatted up with another guy ill open him, if hes a cool dude(rarely)
who i can tell doesnt care ill leave him be.. or say whats up if hes COOL, maybe even
point out other girls(set merge) and open for him blowing him out on purpose LOL dont do that.

the goal is to let your wing just have some fvcking time to get to know the girl hes gaming
without all the FVCKING distractions that prevent him from doing so. If you hit it off with the targets
group, or friend.. and your wing hits it off with his gurl, the group will already except your friend then you guys can join up with them, get numbers.. maybe invite them all for an after party etc...
TL;DR
When your wing opens a set use the lines i listed above.
Keep your vibe very light, like you dont know wtf is going on.
and just smile alot and have fun, your wing will love you for it.
