"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Asking out a girl I sort of know

Theres this cute girl I sort of know from seeing at parties (im a college student), ive talked to her a few times, enough to say hi when we walk past each other on campus.

I think it would be strange and abrupt if I outright asked her out one day being as I havent talked to her in a few weeks, so I wanted to stop her and get lunch or dinner (in dining hall) first.

Should I just go for the date?

Shes a smiley and giggly girl anyways so looking for IOIs are kind of tough.

I'm thinking of how to steer a conversation next time i bump into her towards Indian food so that I can be like "hey we should go get indian! ive been craving some recently". would that be abrupt for me to ask that even though im not really friends with her, just loose acquaintances? would she even percieve it as a date?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Abrupt perhaps, but certainly not "too" abrupt. If anything, like you said, it might be so casual as to put you in too much of a friendly mode when you go out. Sounds like a fine idea though. Maybe somebody else will have a better one.

I would try to build as much rapport with her since you are in a college situation. Find some commonalities, that's how chicks click with guys or if you wave a couple $100 bills. But there's a feeling inside me, that you have already failed, something inside of me that thinks that you should've asked for her number right away on the first 1-2 meetings and then proceeding on courtship ritual.

Forget asking "Hey we should get X" get one thing down one at a time. Build rapport - not through phone or email but in person, let one thing lead to another. A girl who is interested will give you THAT time in person to talk to you.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
