Asking for # before creating rapport

Do you have to create a rapport with a girl before asking for her #? Would most girls find this ackward?

The reason I ask is there's a girl that I'm attracted to at work. We work in the same building, but we don't actually work together. I'm a security guard, and she works in the administration area, which is in another part of the building. So I don't see her very often, and most of the time when I do see her it's only for a few seconds. I say Hey to her everytime I see her, and she always smiles and says Hey back. But I don't really get many chances to talk to her. Would it be better to gradually try to work my way up, or just come right out and introduce myself and ask for her #?

My wing pulls numbers all the time before... well, ****.. I've heard him open with give me your number.

But he just has a lot of fun with it.

At a HUGE halloween party the other day he walked up to a girl and just grabbed her ass from behind "Turn around and face me!" she turned around all shocked and then "Give me your number... Give it!"...she gave it, then danced with him and was eating him up.. following up so far has been solid.

so whatever.. I mean anything is possible.

I dont suggest guys walking around grabbing asses though mind you.

My style is different though, I will usually number close in about 15minutes, But I'm really only pushing for make-outs, f-closes, anything physical... So right now if I pull a number its usually kinda like I aint getting where I want to go so I eject, with their number.

Your situation is different, I would definitely go for rapport in that type of situation. I feel like this to be very challenging though all things considered.

I guess go with your gut man, Game it! ...and uhh accept the fact that if you fail its cool, you will only be seeing her all the time after that hehe, just kidding.. nah man, no regrets. You want her. Try. Its your only chance.

Rapport, fun, playful. but maybe direct.
