Jaylan, I take it you've never been married. The LOVE you are thinking of only lasts 2 years. Then the chemicals leave and she better have a sense of obligation and commitment to the MARRIAGE. The reality is... you are signing up for a job. Yard work,diaper changes, mortgage payments,etc. are not romantic

Dude the thing you have to realize is this, a lot of the guys here are just products of negative experiences with women. Hence we here more bad than good regarding them on this site.

Let people do what makes them happy. Who wants to be with someone who doesnt feel the same way about them? I know I wouldnt. I take the divorce and move on to other women, and because I am a smart guy, Id have a prenup and all my crap. Plus I wouldnt marry a woman who didnt have her own career and money anyways.

You should also try and find Zekko's latest thread about the "reality" that is preached here. I think it was his thread. (link soon) Either way, basically according to the OP in that thread and what I see in the real world as well, most guys arent AFCs or getting d!cked over by women. There are quite a buncha guys with their crap together.

But back to my main point. A lot of guys here are products of a negative experience. Hell most relationship or dating forums on the internet are. People reach out to places like this when they need help with something bothering them. I know when everything with school, work, and women were going all right in my life, I was NEVER online in these forums too much asking for advice.

There are plenty of happy marriages out there but they get overlooked by a lot of folks. Some people do stay married just for the kids, but others stay married because they have a sense of commitment and real love. The kind of love that stays around after the honeymoon lust hormones wear off after the first couple of years.

I think the big key is knowing what you want from a woman, and making sure you find a girl who knows herself as a person and knows what she wants as well. Some people confuse lust with love. Gotta find the women who know the difference and want to honor commitment. Those are the people who dont bail after 2 years or start messing around.
