We've known why ever since we joined this forum. However, there's a study that had come up with different reasons:

So, a woman's ovulation is to blame for overriding her logical decision to choose the nice guy over the jerk? I don't buy it.

Speaking in very, very broad general strokes, I think it goes something like this:

The narcissistic jerky guys are more aggressive, so they approach and ask the girls out more often and more quickly than the other males. So the woman, who is basically passive and waiting to be approached, goes out with this jerk guy. They then have sex.

Women tend to get attached to guys they have sex with, so they start to get dreamy/delusional about what the jerk can bring to the table. And of course a lot of this is the result of hormones.

Also, maybe the guy is more likely to be narcissistic if he's a very good looking guy, or a dominant muscular type. I know some naturally big, muscular guys and their manners are not the best. I think a lot of this is because people are too intimidated to call them on it, so they get away with more.

There's some vampire movie, I think it was Blade, and there's a line: "The thirst always wins".
I say the same thing about chicks. If they're ovulating or just horny, they will basically fvck the nearest decent looking thing with a d1ck.

It's almost like they're predators such is their aggression in pursuit of a good ramming. I've been with plenty of "good girls" who become c0ck-hungry *** junkies when their hormones kick in each month.

women generally are not good decision makers. they also LIKE to complain and associate themselves with drama (despite what they say). what good stories would they have to tell everyone about some great guy theyre dating? none. it's more fun to tell stories about how they dated a jerk and were treated bad, play the victim card and have you pitty them.

Watch Science of Sex Appeal on Netflix. Lots of changes happen to women when they ovulate, so it's not surprising that their behavior could be affected as well--love and lust are all about brain chemistry.

Does it takes an other confirmation to the fact that women should be checked twice before granted jobs who decide the fate of other people?
Do you want your life or your family ones dependant on the amount of a certain hormone in the blood of a policewoman or woman politician, keeping in mind it chances in weeks?

I think a man should be able to have a successful career whether his boss is a man or a woman, but that's just me. You seldom hear in the news of women in positions of power having major scandals. Personally, I prefer to work with women than men. Sometimes, I'm the only man in the meeting. I like it that way. And none of this has hindered my career one bit. To each his own, I guess.

Mrs.5string married 2 jerks before me. Both were certified a$$holes. Neither one graduated from HS and to this day, both are chumps who live in poverty. They both look like sh!t and are circeling the drain. I can't help but wonder what she was thinking.

Oh well, nobody truly understands the hamster so I don't even try to figure it out.

If they only picked bad boys a few days per month, they would still be F-ing nice guys the rest of the time. We know that's often not the case.

Plus the theories surrounding ovulation fall apart as most women are on the pill anyway. Even on the pill when their body is tricked into thinking it's pregnant and she should be drawn to nice guys according to theory, she will still dates bad boys.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that while biology might be a factor, there must be some non-nature stuff going on too.
