Notice that in every one of those examples, the guy who proclaims himself alpha is using it to look down on everybody else, or at least on everybody else who doesn't think like him.

This is one of the things that sours my experience with this whole place. There's always been a sense of smugness here: "I know the truth because I swallowed the red pill, and this has given me superpowers to know what women really want, and everybody else is just a bunch of AFCs (or, as some are putting it more recently, 'beta faggots')". I don't believe this "I'm great, and everybody else sucks" attitude is really productive.
Thank you. I always hated when guys talk down to other guys or look down on other guys.

Fortunately, we do have a decent number of respectful posters on here too.

Keep it simple. You want to know what I have really learned here in 11 years?

1. don't put women first
2. screen women
3. believe what a woman does not what a woman says
4. the more women you talk to the more opportunities you will have to get laid
5. You cannot demand out of a woman what you don't demand from yourself first

everything else is really just noise. if you want kids if you don't want kids. If you want a wife if you don't' want a wife. If you want to be a business man or a PUA or a rockstar. if you are black or white. if you are rich or poor. it's all noise.

I will take my step even further.

Right now I have a client of mine who I am about to fire as soon as I am done with this post lol. I'm done with him. Cant' do it anymore. But if i can be honest, I had determined that I didn't like him as a person when I first took him on because he is overly religious and he's a 2nd amendment nut. in fact the website is a 2nd amendment based social networking site. I'll build a site for the devil if he paid me enough so I don't care about the politics but people who are fanatical about anything don't make for good clients. This guy is past fanatical. But he has money and it is what it is.

Now I am right in firing him but my point being that I never (rightfully in retrospect) gave him a chance. The reason I never gave him a chance is because i have had past experiences that have clouded my judgement with people like him. I stereotyped him basically. Guy could have turned out to be a kick ass client. For the longest I would not take non US based clients beucase i had a few past bad experiences with them and now i have 2 clients, one the biggest job we've ever done and both are grat non us based clients. I gave one guy a chance and he turned out to be a cool dude.

What am i getting at? Guys who come here and who have been in their minds, hurt or held back by people like me are not going to like guys like me and are going ot make me out as a beta male. guys who have had negative experiences with religious people like i have won't like people like reggie. guys who know a guy who has been in NA /AA and keeps relaspsing isn't going to have a good opinion of buch regardless of how he is really like.

and this all gets lumped into what is and is not alpha and passed on to all the new sosuavers to soak up as gospel

The stuff isn't rocket science, once you get it. I swear some of you need to look in the mirror. You're completely making sh*t up out of thin air. Burroughs/PlayherMan is the only guy I've seen who really acts like that.

Maybe I just don't quite get the angle you're coming from. It seems that many posters like backbreaker and Bible Belt never 'got it', but they did put in their 5 years or so here now they think they are rising above Game. They are the ones your post should be directed towards.

I don't think its new agey or anything like that.
The OP has good points.

I could write a bunch of stuff on the topic, but I would like to leave with this thought.

The Ego is about wanting recognition, accolades, to be desired, famous, the life of the party, needing validation, to be noticed, to be complimented, getting attention at any cost.,,.basically manipulating.
It confuses Wants with Needs. Theyre not the same.

The concept of the Ego LESS Alpha IS an Ideal for us. I don't understand how anyone says that its unattainable or Jesus Christ like. That sounds just like settling and low standards to me.

Ultimately, the regular Joe Alpha is an Alpha only if there's an audience, other competitors around him. He is dependent on other people, things OUTSIDE of himself.

But the Ego LESS Alpha continues to possess the classic masculine traits that are Ideal without any need for outside competition or validation from others.
He still maintains his integrity regardless of outside circumstances.

WHO really is the Stronger example of the Alpha?

The guy who is constantly competing with other dudes trying to show off all the time, no matter what, and perceives every dude as a threat?

Or the Alpha who doesn't really give a **** because he's in control of his emotions and emotional state, and is independent of public opinion?
He keeps on his path and isn't discouraged, dissuaded, or gives in to nay sayers and the multitude of negative people who say it cant be done??

backbreaker,

I'll voice out my opinion on behalf of the members from the mature man forum. You married a single mother. Enough said.

The definition of being a man for most people is the Ego-filled alpha. As long as he is a leader of something or anything he is an alpha. Well Tiger Woods and David Petraeus were leaders of something. Are they alpha? In a man's world they are. But in their women's mind they aren't. Just do a search for what their mistresses thought of them. They were being stringed along the entire time.

James Bond? LOL. How many missions has he fukked up by sleeping with the undercover spy?

Beyond that, one has to be a bit of a narcissist at the very least to be a religious leader. I don't care how "zen" they appear.
Becoming an egoless alpha goes beyond that. The James Bond reference is a good one. The first one with Daniel Craigs portrays it. I think it's called Casino Royale. The movie is essentially about James learning to let go of his ego and becoming the real true James Bond. It's not speculation, it's verified because somewhere in the movie Bond had a talk with his superior M who told Bond that to succeed in his mission he needed "to get rid of his Ego." or something like that.

I agree it isn't rocket science. That's why I don't think guys should be getting so smug about learning it. Half the stuff on here probably isn't even about attracting women so much, it's about how to keep women from disrespecting you.

Some would no doubt argue that by not letting them disrespect you, that makes you more attractive to them. Well, it's true that being a doormat is not attractive. But I don't think it's necessarily true that not letting them disrespect you will attract them. I think that depends more on other attraction factors.

If you really haven't seen the type of attitude I'm talking about, where guys are saying stuff like "we on the forum, we're the real men, we "get it", and everybody not on the forum is a bunch of AFCs, except for a few naturals and serial killers" - I don't really know what to say, I guess you either see it or you don't. I'm not saying everybody on here is like that, far from it, but those who are strike me as being overly condescending.

I was always under the impression that rising above Game is the ultimate goal. Pook said that once you left this forum, it would all seem childish and silly. I find it hard to disagree with that. Pook's goal was to leave this forum behind, and he eventually did.

Backbreaker may be a tad narcissistic, but I do think he's living his life the way he wants to, so I don't see anything wrong with that. I guess you could say that about Bible Belt also, but it's harder for me to understand what it is that he's up to.

Aaaaand I'm out again. This has devolved into faggotry. Bickering over definitions. I have **** to to do. Later "alphas".
