This is the gayest thread ever. Religion is not a factor in AFCism or DJism, except for really crazy cults who force you into subordination.
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

The bible itself does not specifically say 'no sex before marriage,' most of those ideas came from the uptight church hypocrites years later. I would question the definition of "marriage" and expand it to what we see as a LTR. I don't agree with hinging religious morality on a government document. It was a government that executed Jesus - they are the bad guys. Today, many governments are trying to give or giving marriage licenses to gay couples. That does not suddenly make it moral. Regardless of what side one takes in the debate, the morality is bigger than the government document, so I think most people are wrong to cast the "living in sin" label on a couple who does not have a government license to be together.

Much of the anti-sex message of the NT is actually speaking out against the giant orgies that were frequently part of pagan worship. The Bible seems down on sex in part because the religions that competed with Christianity 2000 years ago had sex as a central part of their worship. As those competing religions died out, the church started using control over sex and personal life to empower themselves as an institution. But imho the idea that sex is bad is not in the bible. For example, the Song of Solomon is praise of sex, not condemnation.

But I certainly can't get it out of my mind that having sex with a "random" or even a girl after a few dates is wrong.
I have other issues to deal with too but I'm beginning to think that's the real problem. I don't neccessarily put girls on a pedestal but I do put sex on one. I certainly don't feel too good afterwords.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
Obviously I just googled that information. But I honestly can't see how that is taking a passage such as that out of context and miscontruing it in any way possible. It's understandable, though, that cultures and customs change over time. But there are some fanatics I know of that view the bible as word and law. That cannot happen in an ever changing world where changes of this magnitude can and do occur. However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
