"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm aware that around the world traits such as charm and confidence go a long way. Are DJ tricks, specifically negging, hot & cold etc. the same though? I bring this up because every couple of years I travel to see my family in Europe (I live in N. America) and all the times I've seen guys get to work on girls, they usaully succeed by doing things that we here in America would discourage. For example, a good friend of mine was talking to this girl and he was basically teling her how he has lousy luck with women, has gotten his heart broken, etc. etc. Really emotional stuff her that would NOT fly here and the girl my friend was talking to basically ate it up and they went out a few days later. This has happened more then once also, so I know it wasn't a coincidence.

I was wondering if depending on where you are if you have to calibrate how you approach women.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

yeah i actually thought bout this last night. And no I don't think all Dj principles are universal. I think having inner game is something u need everywhere. BUT the techniques from the different styles are not applicable in some cultures. for example I've been to Cuba and Dominican Republic and the indirect method would not work too good there. In those countries if you don't approach and come directly to show interest off eye contact you're a done man. Its expected in Caribbean that if your interested in a women u let be known or else u'll look like a wussy. hope that helps

No rule is universal.

There's always an exception. Different women want different things. I know some women who hate jerks and actually like nice guys. There's some women out there who go for genuine nice guys. And then on the other hand, I know some women who like shy guys. That's against the norm, because women usually don't like shy guys, but I know some women that do. Women want different things. It is a danger and a flaw of man to categorize people. No man or woman falls into a certain category.

If you're asking whether confidence is universal then yes. Confidence can be an accurate measure of one's attractiveness. But depending on how you use that confidence is what matters most.

To each their own. All women have varying tastes, some like slim guys, meaty guys, buff guys, geeky guys...etc.
