"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I am intimidated to approach this hb 8.5, and hb 9 on good days. She says "hi" whenever we directly bump into each other, but never comes up to me. I saw her standing with her friend next to a wall in front of a classroom door-- classes ended for her already. She just glanced at me; maybe, she didn't even notice me. But in any case, I couldn't approach. The key to it all is to start out smoothy and confidently, or the lines are garbage.

I could say "hi" in a monotone, looking like a loser; or say "heyy" with a sexy wink, in a jocular gesture and break the ice.

Plus, when I see her she's around her friend(s). She knows I had interest in her in the past--she gave me her screenname a year ago, but she had a boyfriend at that time so I moved on.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Just look at her like any of your guy friends or sister. Your mind is playing games with you and intimidating you. If you think she's just another friend, it'll be easy for you. Just walk up to her and say "hey" with excitement. Don't Overdo it though.

Are you in any classes with her? If you are, that'll make it a lot easier to break the ice. Talk to her, write notes to each other in class...and once you feel comfortable, approach her when she's w/ her friends.

But she's HOT! It's hard to see her as friend; besides I don't have any class with her anymore, so it's hard to get reacquainted.
