A buddy of mine and i were walking by one of those downtown restaurants, when i noticed a really cute asian girl sitting at the patio table. Just when he was about to approach her, a guy came out of the restaurant and sat in front of her. So i was thinking out loud as usual, and said how hilarious it would be if he still approached her and asked her out in front of the guy, whether he's her friend or AFC boyfriend. That's how the idea was born. We're gonna do it this fall, and are thinking of taping it from afar: we could switch roles every other time. What do you guys think? Not exactly the most efficient method of getting numbers, but the most fun one by far! :D

Can you guys suggest some approaches? I was thinking of just coming up, apologising for interrupting, introducing myself, and asking her for the digits. Or perhaps i could pretend like i went to high school with her and get her to say which high school it was and so forth. :D

Amen...you most likely aren't dealing with other DJs here. They would rather fight you than handle it well. And AFCs make good fighters.

Nor is it necessarily smooth to disrespect other guys like that, AFC or otherwise. I would find that offensive, DJ or not...and in most cases I'm willing to believe the girl would, too.

Eye contact, yeah. But at LEAST wait until he goes to the bathroom or something.

Man this happened to me about 10 times with my X, and fukc it is annoying. You will end up just looking like a chump and being teased by her and her boyfriend, so you will NOT be getting the last laugh, although if you still think it is a good idea, go for it.
