I was walking through the mall and I saw this girl inside a clothing store. I went straight in and said, "Hi, I saw you while walking by and I would like to meet you." She gigggled and I extended my hand and introduced myself. She gave her name in return and shook my hand. After that people came in the store and she had to helped them. I told i'd be back later but I did not.

Direct, to the point. Not creepy, not cheesy, and if the girl thinks you are cute it's all you need.
I suppose the girl will now be thinking "why did he want to meet me" so if you have some material to follow up with then sounds like a good cold approach.

Now, if I could only keep from wetting my pants I could do that too !
